Important Safety Notice: Product Recall DMM Compact Swivel Units PRODUCT RECALL / HAZARD NOTICE 2nd November 2022 We have been made aware of a near-miss incident involving the failure of a DMM Director connector (A647BS) that parted at the swivel assembly. The user was unhurt. DMM's investigation has identified a product fault that, under certain circumstances, may allow the swivel assembly to unscrew and subsequently part. Download this step-by-step ‘walk-through’ to aid with the inspection and maintenance of DMM auto-lock carabiner gate mechanisms. Following on from a visual and tactile assessment, there are three gate action (function) tests described, to ensure that the gate closes fully and reliably.
