Ultra-Trail Australia

Previously known as the North Face 50 and 100, the Ultra-Trail Australia will take place over an adventure filled 5 days, and is set to be the biggest trail running festival ever seen in Australia. The festival will attract local, interstate and international athletes, of all abilities. The race repertoire has been expanded to include, aside from the infamous 50km and 100km races, a 22km, a 1km stair time trial (covering 951 stairs) and a 1km race for kids.

ULTRA-TRAIL AUSTRALIA 100 – This is one of Australia’s most challenging, stunning and prestigious 100km trail running events. It is set on the breath-taking trails located in the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park, with stunning views, lots of stairs and an elevation gain of 4,300m.

ULTRA-TRAIL AUSTRALIA 50 – This race is challenging in its own right, following the second half of the 100km route through the scenic Kedumba Valley, with an elevation gain of 2,300m.

PACE UTA22 – This race starts at the iconic Queen Victoria Hospital and finishes at the atmospheric Scenic World. This new event is set to be the perfect introduction for new runners curious about trail and ultra running, and offers runners the opportunity to get a taste of the ultra course. It has an elevation gain of 1,200m.

Scenic World UTA951 – This is a fun and inclusive time trial up the infamous Furber Stairs into Scenic World – the finish of the other Ultra-Trail Australia events. 951 stairs in 1km! It will be a burning climb on the legs! The event is open to everyone up to the challenge.

INJINJI 1KM-FOR-KIDS – This is an inclusive and fun event to engage families and make community connections. It gives our runners of the future an opportunity to shine! It is hosted just prior to the 100km prize giving, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for the event wrap up, sponsor recognitions and presentation! Kids up to 12 years can participate.
